Will Hooley returns to action and will be on the bench for the USA as the Eagles get set to play Argentina October 9 at Kumagaya Rugby Stadium.

Head Coach Gary Gold has reunited the center pairing of Paul Lasike and Bryce Campbell. Marcel Brache, who has started twice at outside center in this World Cup, will suit up at left wing. Mart Iosefo doesn't make the gameday 23.

Nick Civetta is rested as is Shaun Davies. Greg Peterson starts at lock alongside Nate Brakeley, while Ruben de Haas starts at scrumhalf.

Blaine Scully will captain the Eagles for the 31st time, overtaking Dan Lyle to move into 2nd place all-time behind Todd Clever (55 caps as captain).

"Argentina are a very, very good team," said Campbell, who won the 2016 Rudy Scholz Award as the nation's top men's collegiate rugby player. "They were put under some significant pressure with the early red card (against England) and I think they fought very hard in that match. They’re going to fight tooth and nail to the very end, no matter whether they have 15 or 14 men on the field. They’re scrappy and they’re a very good side."

The Eagles, said Campbell, have to be on points in every contact.

"Being organized in defense. When we make contact, we (need to) drive our legs, so it makes our fold easier. If we can make good collisions in defense and get our width and spacing correct, we should be able to deal with whatever," Campbell said.
