Not only with the USA 7s team be without Carlin Isles this weekend, but injuries have struck additional players.

Maka Unufe, who looked to have a worrying arm injury in Las Vegas, is apparently quickly on the mend, but will not play in Vancouver. Will Holder sustained a suspected concussion in Las Vegas and won't be playing at the Canada 7s, and Zack Test, also, has picked up an injury. 

That leaves Mike Friday with three important spots to fill. And while Perry Baker might get more playing time, Friday had hoped to explore a different approach to how he uses his wings. Because of other injuries, those explorations may have to wait.

Four new players will need to be added to the USA squad for this week.
