US Rugby Foundation Seeks CEO
US Rugby Foundation Seeks CEO
The US Rugby Foundation is seeking a new CEO.
Currently Jon Hinkin has been serving as both CEO and Chief Operations Officer. It is in that second role, COO, that Hinkin carries the most expertise and it was always the intention to find a CEO to take on the role. The COO is in charge of implementing the USRF programs, while the CEO heads up fundraising.
GRR spoke with Hinkin, who is fully behind the CEO search and who said that, in the long term, having one person cover both roles is unsustainable. The Foundation needs someone to concentrate heavily on fundraising.
Youth rugby has experienced significant growth throughout the United States over the last decade. This, combined with the United States being awarded the men’s and women’s World Cup games in 2031 and 2033, positions the USRF to make exceptional strides in program development, philanthropic activity, international joint ventures, and growth in membership.
The USRF is determined to identify a dynamic leader whose innovative mindset and energy leads to a renewed vision and leadership in fundraising and program management.
The new CEO will guide the USRF through its next phase of growth by leveraging their deep experience in philanthropy and fundraising with the hands-on ability to build relationships across the nation that lead directly to new programming initiatives, higher fundraising goals, and increased public awareness.
Hinkin, will continue to lead the organization during this transition period and will remain as the COO once the new CEO is announced.
We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to welcoming a new leader who will inspire youth rugby and strengthen USRF’s partnerships as we help shape the future of rugby in the United States.
