US Rugby Foundation Donates Rugby Balls to 15 Youth and HS Teams

The US Rugby Foundation donations thousands of rugby balls every year.

The US Rugby Foundation has helped introduce rugby to thousands of kids by providing size 4 and size 5 rugby balls to over 1,500 youth, high school, U19 rugby clubs, schools, and community programs throughout the country, and they're doing it again.

Today the Foundation is pleased to announce the latest recipients of the A-Ball-4-All grant program:

Brookline High School Rugby Club | Boston, MA
Brookline Youth Rugby Club | Brookline, MA
Faith Family Academy Rugby Club | Desoto, TX
Independence Lady Warriors Rugby | Independence, MO
Jacksonville Youth Rugby Club | Jacksonville, FL
Laguna Beach Youth Rugby Club | Laguna Beach, CA
Los Angeles Youth Rugby Club | Redondo Beach, CA
North County Rugby | St. Peters, MO
OMBAC Wallabies U8s and U12s | San Diego, CA
Pasefika Rugby Club | Hauula, HI
Providence Youth Rugby | Providence, RI
Rising Eagles Youth Rugby | Northridge, CA
Silk Hope School | Siler City, NC
Vipers Girls Rugby | St Louis, MO
Westfield Rugby Club | Indianapolis, IN

"Pasefika Rugby Club is most humbled for the generous award of 10 size-5 rugby balls that we have received," said Kueli Danielson, President of the Pasefika Rugby Club in Hawaii. "[The] generous award has not only touched the youth in our base area of the north shore of Oahu, but also to our players on the west side of our island as well- helping the over 111 youth in our club sharpen their skills in the game."

The US Rugby Foundation expects to issue its next round of ball grants in the Spring. While rugby balls seem like a small thing, they are crucial in helping programs get started and grow. Rugby balls wear out, and while you can compromise on playing and practice space, jerseys, and such, you need a rugby ball to play and learn.

The US Rugby Foundation's program to simply get rugby balls in kids' hands is a hugely influential part of what they do.
