Washington DC—The Urban Rugby Championship is set to make waves on March 9, 2024, adding the Urban Rugby College Fair to the list of events; it will be hosted at H.D. Woodson High School in Washington DC, bringing together over 250 participants from Urban rugby programs across America.

This unique event bridges the world of urban rugby and pursuit of higher-learning, offering unparalleled opportunities for urban student-athletes. We extend an invitation to all college and university rugby programs to participate, with a particular emphasis on those located in the Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland area. Interested programs can sign up here to be part of this groundbreaking fair.

The four-day event, including a day-long rugby tournament, will facilitate dynamic interactions between student-athletes and representatives from esteemed colleges and universities, providing valuable insights into application and admission opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to explore and establish connections with college representatives, fostering the growth of the next generation of urban rugby scholars.

“Introducing our youth to the expansive network of rugby and access it can provide for higher education has the potential to be a transformative life experience, propelling our kids forward. The Urban Rugby College Fair exemplifies a spirit of collaboration, bridging the divide between talent, access, and opportunity," stated tournament manager Marcus Wood.
