Updates to USA Squad

SÃO PAULO, Brazil – The USA Men's National Team has confirmed squad changes following their 64-0 shutout of Chile in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Next up is Brazil at Arena Barueri, with the Eagles looking to win the Americas Rugby Championship.

USA Rugby has been able to secure the availability of Eric Fry from the Newcastle Falcons following Chris Baumann's injury. That was a key move for the Eagles as they were starting to get thin in the front row. Fry being allowed to remain with the USA team means they have an experienced leader in the front row. Demecus Beach remains with the squad and Cameron Falcon joins.

Todd Clever is back at Newcastle, Nate Brakeley is back in New York, and Pat Blair is back with the USA 7s team, but HS All American and USA U20 captain Hanco Germishuys steps in, as does Central Washington University All American Aladdin Schirmer.

Additionally, New Zealand-native James King has answered the call to represent his mother's homeland, joining the team in São Paulo. King is 6-6 and has played for the Blues and Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby. He can patrol lock and loose forward.

In the backs, Nic Edwards is injured, as is Lemoto Filikitonga, and Lorenzo Thomas and Deion Mikesell are back at school. Former CWU All American Tim Stanfill and longtime Eagle Andrew Suniula come in.
