HARARE, Zimbabwe (USA Rugby Release) - AIG Men's Junior All-American Head Coach JD Stephenson has named the first match-day squad for the 2016 World Rugby U20 Trophy, with the under-20 national team set to meet Namibia Tuesday.

Hanco Germishuys will captain the MJAAs wearing No. 8 at Harare Sports Club, with the tournament set to be streamed live online at 4 a.m. ET. A video embed will be available on USA Rugby TV.

The MJAAs arrived in Zimbabwe last week and have gotten acclimated to the time difference and amenities provided by the local organizing committee. Stephenson led a camp at Lindenwood University, where he is the director of rugby, last weekend prior to departure.

"We are pleased with our preparation and build up," Stephenson said. "The local Zimbabwe Rugby Football Union and community have been extremely supportive of the MJAAs and accommodating to all facets of our preparation."

Germishuys, along with 14 members of the team that defeated Canada in a one-off qualifier in Texas this past February, were chosen for the April 19 - May 1 tournament. Match-winning goal-kicker Ben Cima retains the No. 10 jersey behind half-back pairing Louis Mulholland, while nine players in the 23 have been given leave from their D1A collegiate programs during the opening rounds of the playoffs.

The MJAAs only took part in a two-match series with Canada in 2015, missing out on the U20 Trophy in Portugal with an aggregate loss in the qualifier. In 2014, the MJAAs took third place in Hong Kong with one loss in the four-match competition.

Three round robin matches will determine placement for the final match day of the tournament May 1. The winner of the competition will compete in next year's U20 Championship.

Namibia finished last year's competition in sixth with two losses, and opens the tournament against the Americans at 4 a.m. ET.

"The players and coaches are excited for the challenge," Stephenson said. "Namibia is a fast, strong, and very physical side that play an exciting brand of rugby, and are not too far from home for this tournament."
