Strake Jesuit opened u their Rugby Texas season with a 36-10 defeat of Allen Saturday.

The Crusaders scored five tries in the first half to take a commanding 26-5 lead into halftime. The second half began with a quick score by Allen to make the score 26-10, but Strake Jesuit responded with two additional tries to put the game away.

The win was a complete team effort and begins the Crusaders 2022 campaign on a winning note in league play. Strake fields a team in Rugby Texas D! as well as D2, and will take both sides to Austin next week to face Lake Travis.

Flyhalf Mark Arsham logged two tries and three conversions for 16 points on his own. Center Nick Leone, No. 8 Joey Garcia, and prop Michael Ukona also scored for Strake.
