Glendale, Colo.—USA Women’s National Team XVs pool players will compete in a two-game series on November 18 and 21, KO 2 PM MT, at Infinity Park in Glendale, CO. The event forms part of Women’s Rugby Week, a celebration of the past, present and future of the game across USA Rugby’s digital channels. 

Both matches will be streamed LIVE and for free on FloRugby as part of their support for the Women’s Eagles campaign to Rugby World Cup 2021. 

To mitigate the ongoing threat of COVID-19, Infinity Park will remain closed to fans for both games, with only essential personnel allowed on-site. In accordance with such mandates, all  USA Rugby players and staff will undergo comprehensive testing, quarantine and social distancing measures daily. Team operations take place within a bubble to ensure safety for participants. 

Women’s Rugby Week runs from November 16 to 22 and features a daily content offering to spotlight the following key milestones and events in the women’s game:

Women’s Rugby Week concludes with a message from young women across the game 

Throughout Women’s Rugby Week, fans are encouraged to show their support for the Women’s Eagles as the program readies for Rugby World Cup 2021. With less than a year until the event takes place in New Zealand, Head Coach Rob Cain and players will need support from the community to prepare and perform at the highest level. 

The Women’s XVs program re-assembled in mid-September at The RugbyTown National Training Center (RTNC), located at Infinity Park in Glendale, CO. RTNC is the official national training site for the Men’s and Women’s National Teams in XVs. Through an 8-week Daily Training Environment and two separately held Mini Camps, players have put remote learnings into action after COVID-19 disrupted an otherwise robust 2020 season. 

Stars vs Stripes matches will see talented youngsters play against and alongside experienced seniors. As individual players continue to vie for World Cup selection, fans can expect the squad’s inner-competition to give both matches a strong, competitive spirit.

“Despite the disruption, we've been fortunate enough to create an invaluable opportunity for players and staff to train together for an extended period of time in the DTE. Our sincerest thanks go to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for working with us to formulate a plan that allows our players to train and compete while mitigating the risks of COVID-19.  

“We are thrilled to give our community a chance to cheer for their national team once again and to allow our players a chance to truly show their progression over the past eight weeks. As we celebrate American women in rugby this week, we also take the next step in our journey to New Zealand 2021.”
