The Spain U18s defeated Eagle Impact Rugby Academy 55-15 Thursday in the first of two games at Valladolid in Spain.

EIRA, which had had only a couple of days to acclimate and prepare as a unit, were undone by a talented and fairly cohesive Spanish outfit.

The game itself was divided into two parts, with each part divided into two 20-minute halves. So the upshot was that both teams were able to switch up lineups after 40 minutes. Certainly for Spain this showcased their depth, as Los Leones U18 won every period.

"The dynamic game that we want to implement in the team is going well and we are especially happy with the defense, as we face a superior team on the physical level," said Spain Head Coach Miki Puerta.
