South U19s Named for NACRA Championships

USA Rugby South has named two teams to participate in the North American Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) U19 championships to be held July 11.

Both teams were named after a series of camps and tryouts through the spring. Only about four college players are on the squad, with the rest coming from high schools throughout the Southern states. Nine states are represented.

Several of the Blue Team played for the South U19s in Trinidad last year.

The South is sending two team to the tournament in Orlando, Fla. in part to make sure the numbers are even. The Blue team faces Mexico on July 11 in the first quarterfinal of the 15s event. The Red will take on Bermuda on July 12.
