Rugby Ohio is set for its championship weekend at Fortress Obetz in Columbus.

For the second year in a row Archbishop Moeller will play in the Super Elite Final, taking on newly-crowned Single-School National Champions, St Ignatius. Moeller, welcoming back some players from injury, is a team much improved from the early part of the spring. They beat St. Edward 28-21 in overtime in this past weekend's semifinal.

(St. Ignatius got a bye after St. Xavier demurred.)

Avon Lake and Medina will face off in the School-team D1 final after Avon Lake beat Dublin 32-5 in the semifinal and Medina beat Toledo Woodward 48-10 while in the D1 HS Club semis the Dayton Northern Force defeated Walnut Hills, 38-0 and Olentangy held off Hilliard 22-5 to make the final

In the Boys D2 semis St. Charles beat Perrysburg 53-19 and Walsh Jesuit took down Highland 33-5 to set up a final between those two teams.

St. Edward's JV team beat Moeller's JVs 41-22 to make the final and face St. Ignatius.

The Club Girls final will be Perrysburg (63-0 over Perry) and Walnut Hills (27-24 over John Marshall), while the Single-School Girls final will be Mentor vs Brunswick after Brunswick beat St. Joseph's Academy 34-12 and Mentor beat Highland 41-21 in the semifinals.

The entire finals day will be all day at Fortress Obetz and will take up about 11 hours of rugby.
