Rugby Idaho capped off its first two-day series of girls HS 7s games with the Varsity teams Wednesday night at Eagle HS in Eagle, Idaho.
Rocky Mountain and Mountain View both finished the day 2-0. For Rocky Mountain it was a tough run as their game with Meridian was an exciting, back-and-forth affair. The opener to the five Varsity games saw Rocky Mountain take a 7-0 lead. Both Meridian stormed back with two tries to lead 10-7. Rocky Mountain re-took the lead only to see Meridian grab it back at 17-12. With no time left, Rocky Mountain scored to tie it, and the conversion was good for a dramatic 19-17 win.
Meridian was tied with Mountain View at halftime in their second game, but couldn't hold on as Mountain View Pulled away 22-10. Mountain View then went on to shut out Eagle 17-0 in the final game of the day.

So far the Rocky Mountain teams are starting strongest in the two brackets, but Mountain View is close behind.
