The Penn Invite, in its 14th year, saw 21 HS teams from Indiana and nearby states in a preseason effort at the Moose Rugby Grounds in Elkhart, IN.

Every team played two short games to see different opponents, with Boys and Girls teams both seeing action.

The now long-standing highlight of the event is the Penn vs St. Edward boys match, a full contest that again featured two of the national top 10 teams. Many of the Penn Invite teams try to take the game in between their contests, as this was an excellent example of a higher-level of play in high school rugby.

This year, Penn came away the winner 42-12. David Afa'ese, Trenton Horvath, Cian Messner, and Nick Hardrict all scored tries. Noah Brown touched down twice, while Messner added 11 more points with four conversions and a penalty goal. St. Edward gt tries from Jayden Clark and Jimmy Riley, with Eamon Carr converting one.
