Pelham HS out of New York defeated Morris out of New Jersey Saturday in a meeting of the #46 school team (Pelham) and the #48 club (Morris).

The Pelham backs had a very good day with scrumhalf Michael Sample providing quick service and helping the threequarters exploit space. Among those beneficiaries was wing Alejandro Beneventa. 

Up front prop Erik Rocksvold (the most proppy-named prop of all time) helped set the foundation.

Jake Brennan played center and No. 8 for Morris and was outstanding at either position.

"We were glad to win a decent game against a good team with a few guys missing," said Pelham Head Coach Matt Persanis. "This game gives everyone confidence."
