Panther Rugby Academy Brings On Marty Bradley

Marty Bradley.

Brentwood, Tenn.— Panther Rugby Academy has announced that Marty Bradley has joined the Academy’s coaching staff.

Bradley will lead the Academy’s Collegiate/u23 Program and is the latest addition to the growing organization’s team. The current Head Coach of the University of Tennessee Rugby Team, Bradley holds a Level III Coaching Certification from USA Rugby. His extensive coaching background dates from 1999 and includes stints with SCRC Collegiate All-Stars, Bearden High School, Smoky Mountain Selects, USA Rugby South All-Stars, and LAU All-Stars.

He joined the UT staff in 1996 as Assistant Coach and assumed head coaching duties in 2011. Bradley is currently Commissioner of the Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference, a position he has held since 2014. He was previously Conference Director of the Tennessee High School Rugby League and has held leadership roles within multiple organizations, including the USA Rugby Collegiate Eligibility Committee, USA Rugby South, and MidSouth Rugby Union.

“Marty and I played against each other in college and we have been friends since then,” said PRA President, Mark Williams. “Marty’s experience will help us fill a huge gap by serving the under-23 Male age group for both student and non-student athletes. PRA’s core objectives of Education, Development and Success will only be strengthened by Marty’s knowledge and experience.”

For his part, Bradley believes PRA has a pivotal role to play in the development of young athletes.

“Panther Rugby Academy is going to be a great pathway for u23 players, and I’m pleased to be joining the staff at such a pivotal point in its growth. I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish together.”

Panther Rugby Academy is an officially recognized National Development Program and non-profit organization. Volunteers are needed to fill several existing positions, including administrative and organizational needs.
