The PAC conference has announced their top performers of the 2022 season, with fifteen student-athletes featured in the end-of-year recognition.

For the second time in three years, two stand above as Co-Players of the Year, with Cal Lock Sam Golla and UCLA Center Lucas Lacamp—both finalists for the Rudy Scholz Award as the nation's top male collegiate rugby player—earn the honor.

“Sam & Lucas are two of our best in what we know is one of the best conferences in the nation. Both fantastic athletes but also fantastic leaders and students, and we cannot wait to see what they do next,” said PAC Commissioner Sean Duffy.

Golla’s Cal Bears won the conference in 2022, going on to reach the D1A National Semifinal last month. Lacamp’s work earned the callup from the USA already, featuring in multiple stops along the Sevens World Series.

Cal’s championship form is reflected in the All-Conference selections, with nine Bears making up the selections voted on by coaches. In addition, the coaches recognized three standout newcomers from this season with Josh Cox (UCLA), Mattox King (Arizona), and Jake Kinneeveauk (Utah) nominated as players to keep an eye on for fans of the PAC-12.
