New Head Coach for Kennesaw State Men's Rugby

Former Canadian international Matt Heaton will take over the KSU as Head Coach.

Kennesaw State University men's rugby has named a new Head Coach.

Former Canadian international and Rugby ATL player Matt Heaton will head up the program beginning this coming fall.

Heaton was capped 31 times for Canada and also played for Otley and Darlington in the United Kingdom before joining Rugby ATL in Major League Rugby.

In a statement by the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association, Heaton "is committed to instilling a strong work ethic, teamwork, and a winning mentality in the team. Matt's goal is to develop the players' skills, improve their game strategy and tactics, and lead the team to victories."

Heaton will work in conjunction with Randy Joseph, the Directory of Rugby, who has been a huge part of the program since its inception in 2005. Kennesaw State competes in the SCRC in DIAA.
