For the most part the NCR Women's D1 college playoffs have gone to form.
Defending champs Michigan held off a very good Southern Nazarene team 30-20.
Northern Iowa continued their excellent run over form with a 53-24 victory over Virginia Tech.
So UNI will take on Michigan in the semifinals Sunday in St. Louis.
In the other side of the bracket, Indiana was perhaps the upset if there was one. The Big 10 runners-up defeated Virginia 31-15 behind four tries from Shaianne McGruder.

A powerful forward performance, especially in the scrum, and a spark provided by capped Eagle prop Alivia Leatherman, sparked Notre Dame College to a 44-20 victory over Iowa State that was closer than the score appeared.
