The big question regarding our latest NCR D1 rankings is ... should Queens return to #1?
We dropped Queens because they lost to Penn State, but then the Royals beat Life. Should that result drop Life out of #1 in D1A? Or both? Or neither?
In the end, we have to recognize that Rugby East is superbly difficult to win and superbly difficult to run through undefeated.
So a loss here and there might have to be accepted. Life or Navy could be D1A #1 even though they lost games. Queens could be #1 even though they lost a game. And, yes, we think in the end we need to throw out (or put a pin in) that QUC loss to Penn State.
And we do think it's still a two-horse race in NCR D1, but we will add in that Wheeling looks pretty dangerous and could be the kind of team no one wants to play.
