Mountain View HS is not atop the Rugby Idaho Girls Varsity Fall 7s after a second-straight 2-0 tournament.

Mountain View was in fine form at their home field on Tuesday evening for Round 2 of the Rugby Idaho series. Facing fellow 2-0 team Rocky Mountain, Mountain View opened the throttle and shut out their rivals 33-0 behind a torrid first-half onslaught.

Then Mountain View put together another shutout, defeating Centennial HS 54-0.

Meridian HS went 2-0 on the day also. In Week 1, Meridian had lost one the final play to Rocky Mountain, and then they lost 22-10 to Mountain View. In retrospect, those losses don’t seem so bad and in fact were perhaps a harbinger of a Meridian team with plenty of potential.

Defeats of Centennial HS and Eagle HS, both by scores of 24-5 (24-5) and now sits 2-2.

There’s still plenty to play for as there are three more tournaments in the series over the next three weeks.
