Men DI College Rankings Spring 2016 #10

Army, in black, made a move this week. Colleen McCloskey photo.

Wow time does fly, doesn't it. We missed two weeks of college rankings because so much was going on; the good news is, all of that action told us a lot.

The big winner of the last few weeks is Army. Wins over Utah and Navy push the Rugby East team up and tell us that the Black Knights have improved since the end of the fall. The Army move sort of has coattails for other Rugby East teams, but Penn State's results justify their placement regardless. Also getting a bump would be Arizona State and Arizona, thanks in large part to Arizona State's win over San Diego State.

Indiana, ranked highly but maybe a shade too high, slides after the loss to Penn State. Lower down, USC and MTSU get bumps thanks to good playoff results.

Poised to make a move? Missouri should they win this weekend, James Madison, Delaware, or anyone else in the DIAA playoffs. If USC and CSULB does well, Grand Canyon and San Diego might well come up (or force us to expand the rankings to 60 for the end of the season).
