We finally come out with our first D2 rankings.

Starting off from scratch is tough so we like to see a couple of weeks of results. Teams to watch right now include UNC-Wilmington, Cornell, Towson, UMS&T, and Miami of Ohio. We're not saying they're going to be major champions, necessarily, but we do think they are all stronger than last year.

Wilmington might well be playing in December. Miami won this past weekend but their coach was quick to call ita scrimmage and not a game to read too much into ... too late! We decided to overreact. Cornell has won big in their openers.

Keep an eye on Loyola of Maryland, which beat the Maryland Terps in the preseason match, albeit in preseason, and by one point. Still.

Some teams have dropped down from their end-of-season ranking from last year because they haven't really played yet. We anticipate a lot of shifts in the coming weeks.
