Men D1AA Rankings Week 3 25-26
What was really great about this past week in D1AA was how many close games there were.
We had a tie, and at least three high-level games decided bby a try or less. This is exciting for the division. You want like-minded, like-ability teams playing against each other.
We have been forced to drop UHSP and Alabama out of the Top 30. That's no slight on them, but two teams put in results we felt warranted a move up. Interestingly, neither was a win. NC State lost to a very good Virginia Tech team by the score of 24-17. That is enough, we think, to bump them up. Meanwhile, UNC Charlotte tied South Carolina. So they move in, as well. This bodes well for the Southern teams, which play in a hybrid conference with another D1AA team, Appalachian State, and NCR D1 teams Lander anf Wingate. Not a lot of teams, but some good competition, it seems.
A few other teams nudge up. Tennessee keeps daring us to move them up with these big victories. Bowling Green lost to Ohio State, who lost to Tennessee. We're not prepared yet to make that switch, but we're close. Sam Houston State moves up to #2. But it could be that the top three teams in this division are SCRC teams. We're keep an eye on it.
