Eagle Impact Rugby Academy is holding a camp this December at Marian University in Indianapolis, Ind. in an interesting partnership with a well-established academy and a new varsity college program that hasn’t even taken the field yet.

EIRA does have a connection to Marian, however, as Marian Head Coach John Harley has coached with Eagle Impact, and with his mandate at Marian being to improve the University’s profile through rugby, hosting the camp made plenty of sense.

The camp will be for girls and boys rugby players born from 2002 to 2008, and will be held on Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13. Both days the sessions will run from 9am to 11am, and 1pm to 3pm. The cost for the entire camp is $100.

“I think we’ll be unique in that we’re right on campus and within walking distance of everything, and the school really wants to support rugby; our goal at Marian is to add youth and high school matches on our field,” said Hartley. “The University itself is behind whatever we can do to get kids on campus and promote rugby. They’ve been very supportive and pretty amazing.”
