Major Developments In DIA Says Official

D1A Rugby vice president Teshay Flowers sat down with Goff Rugby Report to discuss the latest developments in the competition.

Flowers discussed the development of the College Rugby Association of America, 7s, the deal with For The Fan, and how women's college rugby fits into it all.

The entire interview can be seen here>>:

But here are some of the highlights:

1. For The Fan is a non-paywall service that can be seen on television, online, and through streaming apps and will show a minimum of one DIA game a week, plus a weekly show, starting in the New Year.

2. The CRAA is an organization that will be an umbrella organization for DIA and will also work to bring in other initiatives as part of the organization's plan. Part of that will be controlling the DIA dues intake.

3. Women will be a part of what the CRAA does. There are plans to have the D1 Elite semis and final held in conjunction with major DIA games and shown also on FTF. This might be a precursor to there being a DIA Women's competition.

4. DIA will hold a 7s championship and that will stand alone separate from USA Rugby's collegiate sevens championship. FTF will show that championship plus buildup tournaments.
