AJ MacGinty continued his solid line of form for the Sale Sharks as he helped his side to a 21-13 defeat of London Irish..

The USA flyhalf almost scored a try (he was dragged down just short), played superb defense, and was crucial offensively, setting up the Sale attack and kicking one conversion and three penalties.

But it has been on the defensive side where MacGinty brings in additional value. His 12 tackles (and only one miss) were by far the most by any Sale back. (Sharks backs not called AJ MacGinty made 21 tackles and missed 14, while MacGinty, as we said, was 12 out of 13.)

Greg Peterson has also been playing well in the English Premiership. The USA lock forward helped the Newcastle Falcons to a 27-17 defeat of Wasps. Peterson logged a full 80 minutes, made 17 tackles (good for 2nd on the team), made more passes than any other forward, and was the number-one target in the lineouts.
