Liberty Conference Set For Challenge Matches

Thirteen teams from the Liberty Conference in D1A, as well as AIC, will assemble this weekend at Fairfield University for a series of Challenge matches.

The Liberty Conference Challenge is just a way for teams to wrap up the fall. The Liberty teams said at the beginning of the fall that they would not pursue a playoff spot in the spring. Iona is playing Saint Mary's in California, and 13 of the remaining 16 Liberty teams are playing in Fairfield.

AIC, which didn't get voted in to the D1AA playoffs as an independent, was invited to round out the group.

The teams have been matched up based on their records, and here's how the schedule rounds out:
