LA Invitational is Back for LA Sevens Weekend
LA Invitational is Back for LA Sevens Weekend
The Los Angeles Invitational is back as the satellite tournament to the LA SVNS event, but there are changes.
The emphasis this year and going forward is on a festival atmosphere for players in the LAI and then for the LA Sevens as fans.
The LAI will last just one day, Friday, May 2, and at one venue, Great Park Sports Complex in Irvine, Calif.
Brackets from U8 on up to senior men and senior women are open now. Information and the registration process is here>>
Some LAI Basics:
1. Only one day. Come play on Friday; watch the LA Sevens on Saturday and Sunday.
2. While each bracket is a tournament with a winner, this is a day designed to be fun—if you're not on a hardcore team and want to be mellow-core, that's fine.
3. 18 Divisions.
4. Age Range from very young to adults, male and female.
5. Participants get heavily discounted tickets to the LA Sevens.
6. Hotel deals in Irvine, Huntington Beach, or Newport. They will be announced in a bit.
7. International Festival at the LA Sevens with music, food, and fun from around the Rugby world.
