Hough also won the girls championship for the first time, beating the Raleigh Cobras 24-7 in the final.
Captain Vanessa Aguilera and Fallon Hoy scored tries for Hough, and Bailey Borum Gray touched down twice.
But the player of the tournament was Isabella Hoffman.
It was an impressive two-bracket win for the Hough.
Spare a thought for Marvin Ridge, which, like Hough, entered the tournament undefeated at 6-0. Those two teams were relatively dominant through the fall as only one other team, Lake Wylie, was over .500 in the first two tournaments.
That was kind of the same situation among the girls, although Hough wasn’t perfect, coming into the final tournament 5-0-1, having tied the TurtleHawks. And it was the TurtleHawks which joined the Huskies and 5-1 Cobras above .500, having gone 3-2-1.
