Herriman HS Team Robbed

Herriman high school's game this past weekend was snowed out, but that was far from the worst news of the week for the team.

The program's trailer, which held equipment and kit worth about $12,000 was stolen from its parking space at Copper Mountain Middle School in Herriman, Utah.

The kit and equipment in the trailer was the result of ten years of fundraising and player dues raised to supply the ever-growing program. A month ago, a coach had donated a trailer so all of it could be held in one place rather than ferried from coaches' houses and various storage places.

But now it has all been stolen.

UPDATE: The trailer has been recovered. As Herriman Director of Rugby Jeff Wilson posted in social media:

Thank you to the overwhelming number of people who reached out to offer assistance to us, we are so touched by the response. We are so happy that Herriman PD was able to recover our trailer, and are glad to announce that most of the equipment was intact. We do unfortunately have some items to replace/repair, and the trailer will need a few repairs and additions in order to prevent future theft. These costs are obviously less than our initial donor goal, so we are happy to refund your generous donation upon your request.

So most of the stuff has been recovered. Wilson offered to refund donations made to replace the equipment.
