The Upright Rugby Rogues girls of Oakville, Ont. won the Girls Elite Bracket at the NAI 7s this weekend, going 5-1 in round-robin play, and then garnering revenge over Utah Lions Elite in the final 26-0.

It was an impressive performance by Upright, a program praised for their sportsmanship and approach to the game. Upright Rugby lost to Utah Lions 21-12 on Friday in round-robin play, but turned it around on Saturday.

It was a thriller of a tournament, with seven games decided by a try or less.

The Utah Barbarians girls won the Girls Open bracket at the NAI 7s this weekend. 

It was a hugely competitive competition, with all six teams playing in a round-robin to set up the final games. Two of the games ended in ties, and in fact no team got through the tournament winning all of their games. Utah and the Mambas of Idaho ended round-robin play undefeated, but both had tied games - the Mambas tied the Barbarians and the Mambas also tied Fullertson.

But that set up a final between the Barbarians and the Mambas, which the Barbarians won 17-5.
