Gamebreakers This Week

Bullock had a great game, and then had another.

We cover the last couple of weeks with some of the key performers in high school rugby.

Here are our Gamebreakers.

Luke Schaefer, Tempe

Big carries and a physical presence from the Tempe prop helped carry his team past Celina Legion in a shutout win.

Zane Smith, West Houston

The inside center for West Houston, Smith scored four tries as his side beat Strake Jesuit.

Jake Brennan and Nicolas Doumbe, Morris

Brennan and Doumbe each scored three tries and Morris defeated Highlanders.

Jackson Moulin, St. James

The St. James hooker was a defensive force and also helped spark a comeback win over Kingfishers.

Vaughn Fouts, De La Salle

The DLS hooker helped nail down the set piece in a close win over Marin.

Jake Ryan, Taft Eagles

The openside flanker led from the front at Taft won a preseason clash with Noble IT Speer Academy.

Caden Syddall, Herriman

The flyhalf kicked six conversions and scored a try to tally 17 points in a win over East HS.

Jeremy Harmer, Granite Bay

The GB captain put in another huge performance as Granite Bay defeated Jesuit Sacramento.

Dylan Fortune, Cathedral Catholic

The Cathedral No. 8 was named the SCIRF Player of the Year.

Ian Bullock, Germantown

The Germantown No. 8 was named player of the game twice during Germantown’s tour of Louisiana.

Nate Williams, Jesuit New Orleans

Williams scored two tries in a 24-24 tie with Germantown.

Zach Piepho, Raleigh Redhawks

The Redhawk center scored three tries for the Redhawks in a win over the Charlotte Tigers March 19.

Amari Phillips, Aspetuck

Phillips has been a force in the Aspetuck forwards as they beat Vienna and Greenwich.

Connor McBride, SFGG

SFGG’s defense has been their key all season and flanker McBride has been the team’s leading tackler.

Ami Amiatu-Tanoi, Thunder

Thunder’s big win over OMBAC had plenty of contributors but Amiatu-Tanoi at No. 8 set the tone for us.
