Gamebreakers - DII College Men

Alex DiMauro of Salve Regina.

Here's a look at some of the players in Men's DII college rugby who made an impact for their teams this past weekend.

Alex DiMauro

The Salve Regina captain scored three tries in a crucial clash with Endicott. Salve won 45-21 to move to 6-0 in their conference.

Drew Tse

The Missouri-Kansas City player made some huge plays on defense and was the heart and soul of the team that scored two tries in the closing minutes to beat Central Missouri 38-30.

Ben Martin

The Lindenwood-Belleville flyhalf, filling in for the regular #10, was reliable on kicking and scored a spectacular try for the Lynx on their crucial 35-33 defeat of Northern Iowa in the WIIL South decider.

Col Schanilec

The University of North Carolina-Wilmington No. 8 led from the front in UNC-W's hugely important win over Furman in the Southern Rugby Conference.

Bret Goodell

The University of Lousiana-Lafayette hooker was forced to fill in mid-game at scrumhalf after the starter went down. After playing well at hooker he helped the Ragin' Cajuns keep the pressure up against Troy at scrumhalf. ULL won 66-0.

Jakobi Bradford

On a cold, windy day Coast Guard defeated Vermont 17-10. The difference on the scoreboard was kicking, where Vermont was unable to convert their two tries thanks to the wind, and Bradford was outstanding, converting both Coast Guard tries and adding a penalty. His ball-handling on a tough day in the midfield was also laudable.

Henry Reeves

VMI won an important decision over Mary Washington 65-10, and Reeves was the man leading from the front. He can play tighthead or loosehead prop, and excels at both.

Connor Roberts

The Bentley No. 8 came back from injury at an important time for his team, helping them to a 46-24 defeat of rivals Providence College in Rugby Northeast. Roberts made several breaks through the Providence line, and was a terror on defense.

Colin McSweeney

The Roger Williams center led his team to 40-12 defeat of Southern Connecticut to stay undefeated with his powerful running.

Florent Sarps and DJ Pinneo

The scrumhalf/flyhalf combination of Sarps and Pinneo scored or set up every try scored by Oakland University in their 66-5 defeat of Ferris State in the Great Lakes Conference. Sarps scored a try and kicked six out of seven conversions, and Penneo scored three tries.
