Fordham Women Looking For Head Coach

Fordham women huddle.

Fordham University's women's rugby team is looking for a head coach.

The team runs a roster of about 25 players and they are of varied experience and abilities. Playing in ACRA's Tri-State Conference, Fordham trains twice a week and plays on Sundays. The college has paid the coach a stipend of $1,500 per semester, and this is a two-semester position.

The coach should be available for trainings (normally Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9 pm) and for games from September through November for 15s, and February through April for 7s.

The main challenge is ensuring all the players receive quality coaching relevant to their experience, knowledge and ability — which stretches from absolute novices to experienced players with 2, 3 and 4 years of experience.

If you are interested please contact Mike Roberts, Fordham University Assistant Athletic Director - Intramurals, Club Sports & Recreation at miroberts@fordham.edu.

"It’s always rewarding and they are an incredible bunch of ladies who put in 100% effort and really want to learn and improve," said Roberts.
