Today markets the first day of a week of unveiling our picks for the top players in the fall/winter of 2023 season for NCR's D1.

This division includes 31 teams in the Rugby East, Big 10, Big Rivers, Southern Conference, Liberty, and independents. With a goal of 100 players recognized, you'd expect between three and four players per team, but of course that's not how it comes off. Top finishers end up with more players on the list. Still, we have a wide range of teams with players recognized. For the most part, the conferences are close to proportionally represented. The four Rugby East teams have more players per team recognized than any other conference, but that's to be expected given how well their teams performed overall.

We're starting with the outside backs, wing and fullback. And as will be the case in every position, one or two players made their way onto this list thanks in part to their performance in the NCR All-Star tournament. Regardless, everyone had to have played well for their college team.
