The USA Men's 7s team is back in camp preparing for the next two rounds of the Sevens World Series, March 4-5-6 in Las Vegas and March 12-13 in Vancouver, BC.

Head Coach Mike Friday has some injuries to deal with, as Nic Edwards was injured this past Saturday in his USA 15s debut against Chile (after scoring a try), and Kevin Swiryn, Stephen Tomasin, and Brett Thompson are also unavailable due to injury.

The regular players are back in camp, and in addition so are some young and newish players, a few having been at the last assembly. These include 1823/Tiger Rugby crossover Aaron Davis, Central Washington's Seth Halliman, Wheeling Jesuit's Peter Malcolm, ConRoy Smith from Atlantis, and Joey Sok from Columbus.

Friday also will be picking a 2nd team - the Falcons - to play in the Las Vegas Invitational, a tournament that has been the springboard for several current Eagles, including Madison Hughes, Matai Leuta, and Will Holder.

"We'll focus on what we normally do," Friday said. "The reality is we need to be better at so many things following the last two legs. We've got some real themes in areas that we need to improve as a team but, individually, players have got to step up to the mark and start playing more consistently, making sure they do their jobs and execute the individual roles and responsibilities within the team."

Friday also said that players in the Falcons could conceivably play their way into the Eagles squad for Vancouver a week later.
