Down to Final Weekend in Empire

It all comes down to next week in the Empire Conference, as Syracuse and Colgate both won, and both are now 4-1, right behind winners and still undefeated Stony Brook.

Stony Brook defeated Brockport 88-19 behind three tries from Michael Tretola to sit at 5-0 and clinch a spot in the championship game between #1 and #2. Now the question is, who joins the Seawolves. Colgate beat Kings Point 44-15. behind a big day from Bernard Rawlins. And Syracuse took care of Binghamton 51-0.

"It was the first week that everybody kind of executed," said Syracuse captain Angus Bishop. "It was also the first week that we won the penalty count."

Loosehead prop Alex Amico played his best game for the Hammerheads, and the team as a whole played good defense.

"We are hitting our stride now," said Bishop.

So it comes down to this coming weekend. Stony Brook plays Kings Point and is favored, and should be the #1 team. Syracuse and Colgate face off at Colgate, wiht a berth in the championship game on the line. Colgate needs to win to move into 2nd. Syracuse can get that championship berth with a tie or a win.
