DII Men College Playoff Brackets Latest

Here are the latest DII College brackets.

For the most part, the higher-ranked teams held on.

In Pittsburgh, #4 Rowan continued a brilliant run, defeated #17 UMass-Lowell 52-10. Rowan takes on #5 Towson as Towson defeated#21 Coast Guard 36-12.

Also in Pittsburgh, #19 SUNY Oswego lost to #20 Rhode Island, which wasn't much of an upset, but the scoreline, 58-17, was a bit of a shocker. Anthony Kennedy, Abel Hayes, Adam Feiszli, Tom Morini, Jack DeLeo, Darryl Brooks, Alex Sabitoni, Will Coris, and Vinny Liguori all scored tries, while Kennedy added 13 more points on kicks.

Meanwhile, #2 UW-Whitewater thunmped #32 Springfield 85-12 to move to the quarters and to face URI.

In a snowy and freezing Des Moines, Iowa, UM-Duluth defeated Grand Valey State 24-3. "We were pretty much outclassed in every aspect of the game," said GVSU Head Coach John Mullett. "Duluth is doing it right. It was #1 v #8 and you'd expect #1 to win, and they did.

The snow halted any wide open play, and that was evident in the other game, as #7 School of Mines fell 11-10 to #9 Lindenwood-Belleville.

And in Greenville, NC, #10 UNC-W defeated #24 RPI 32-8.  James Hall scored four tries for the Seahawks and the Wilmington forwards did very well against a solid Engingeer pack. The Seahawks will play Salisbury, as the Sharks (#6) defeated #3 VMI 27-18.

So the rankings were 5-3, but two of those losses were close losses between teams that are ranked closely.

On Sunday towson edged Rowam, Whitewater defeated URI, Duluth beat the Lynx, and Salisbury got by UNC-W.
