The USA Rugby Men's DII College Round of 16 is complete after five teams got through Round 1 games.

Memphis is through after Southeastern Louisiana opted not to play the game. The other four games went off on Saturday.

Wisconsin-Whitewater ran out to a 27-0 lead over Thomas More, and while the Saints mounted a spirited comeback in the second half, the Warhawks held on 48-24.

It was actually the same story in the second game hosted by Thomas More. This was Loyola vs Middle Tennessee State. Loyola ran out to a 27-0 lead, and while MTSU did score two tries in the second half, so did Loyola and the Chicago team won 40-12.

Things were much closer with MARC runner-up Lehigh versus Southern Conference runner-up North Carolina. Led by a strong performance from prop Marvin Jacobs, who was a terror in the breakdowns, Lehigh just edged UNC 18-15.

Nick Stefanidis, Demetri Greco, and Jake Cohen all scored tries for Lehigh, while Josh Gordon preserved the victory with a key tackle that held the ball up in-goal. 

Also close was the match between UMass-Lowell and Boston University, and Lowell won 26-22.
