The #1 team won this past week (we were there, which was nice), but don't count out the team they beat.

We are still high on Western Michigan and they could still be a rankings mover and shaker.

At the same time, Mary Washington keeps winning, and we are reminded this week that UMW also almost beat Penn State, who just beat (barely) Kutztown. So we figure UMW is just as good as Kutztown, and that D1A team would certainly be tops in this ranking wouldn't they? Probably. UMW moves up to #2 is what we're saying.

We are also saying that we're seeing a pretty big split between the strong and the teams that struggled to get out of the COVID shutdown. A few teams have surprised us, including Salisbury, Rowan, and Arkansas in how well they have started. Clemson looks very strong and beating two solid conference opponents without allowing a try makes us take notice.

Wheeling almost beat Notre Dame College this week and could well be a team to watch.

And shame on all of you, because no one noticed that we had two teams ranked #35 last week and in fact had 46, not 45, teams in our ranking. Someone should have said something.

Queens vs Mount St. Mary's
Kentucky vs Tennessee (!)
West Chester vs Salisbury
Arkansas vs Kansas
