The last of what was expected to be the qualifiers for USA Rugby's DI College 7s Championships has been completed.

This weekend Arkansas won the Red River and AIC won the Armory 7s. Neither one of those results affects the field of teams at USA Nationals, because Arkansas had already qualified, and AIC is going to the CRC. (We are assuming that teams going to the CRC will not also go to USA Rugby's Championships, however, one exception is Lindenwood, which will attend both.

The USA DI College 7s Championships will be 16 teams. Currently these ten have qualified:

Lindenwood

Wyoming

Ohio State

Fordham

Bowling Green

Santa Clara

James Madison

 

That leaves five at-large spots. Among the teams that might push for a spot: Colorado, Western Washington, Notre Dame College, Davenport, Kentucky, Alabama, Stony Brook, Lindenwood-Belleville, St. Bonaventure, San Diego State, Grand Canyon, Central Florida, UC Davis, Cal Poly, Air Force, Mount Saint Mary's, Iona, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Utah.
