Dartmouth Downs Harvard For Women's Ivy Title

Dartmouth defeated Harvard 41-22 to win the Women's Ivy League Championship on Saturday, garnering some payback for a 50-34 Harvard win earlier in the fall.

Freshman Kristin Bitter scored a try, four conversions, and a penalty to log 16 points, while junior Idia Ihensekhien ran in three tries.

"I couldn't be prouder of the heart, grit and all-around team effort today," Dartmouth Head Coach Katie Dowty told Charlotte Brackett of Dartmouth Sports. "The team's game sense and resilience keeps growing with every game. A lot of our younger players have also stepped up with some huge performances, which is very promising as we look ahead to the NIRA postseason in two weeks."

Next up is indeed that November 9 postseason. Harvard is #2 in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association and Dartmouth is #3, so those two will meet again. Top-seed Army faces #4 Quinnipiac in the other semi.

The final will be live on ESPN+ on November 16.
