Bring the Players in and Mix Them Up! Snake Pit Sevens
High school-age teams are playing 7s in various tournaments around the country this summer, and here's a really interesting one.
This past weekend, the Lutherville-Timonium Vipers hosted Snake Pit Sevens in Baltimore, Md. Teams registered, and then their rosters were reassigned to six different motley snake-themed teams.
The re-assignments worked quite nicely as the games were very competitive throughout.
Maryland Exiles Coach AJ Conway was very pleased with the event.
"We have had a shortage of sevens events this summer, and this was a terrific well run and well played event," said Conway.
Conway singled out Marshall Stuckey as an example of everything that was positive of this event. "Marshall blossomed and demonstrated massive growth. It was fantastic to see the growth in Marshall's game, as well as the rest of our players that participated in this event. We will most definitely be back next year."
