As we moved around the ranked teams we had to put Los Alamitos higher.
Remember that Los Al's ranking was in the 20s because their top result was a close loss, and good wins over some other teams we weren't sure should be ranked.
So they were waiting for that big victory ... which they got.
We dabbled with the idea of ranking Los Al at #3 but in the end you have to look at whether the rankings make sense. With part of the Torrey Pines ranking being based on their beating Cathedral, and Cathedral beating Jesuit Sacramento, we have to acknowledge that Jesuit isn't quite in mid-season form yet. We decided to pull back a little on that SoCal group.
Having said that, it's clear they are all really strong.
More movement for other teams, too, and St. Martin's would have moved up a spot ecept that Los Al came shooting up from the 20s.
