Boys HS Nationals Update: Who's Doing What

Twenty-four teams will compete in the 2019 Boys HS Rugby National Championships.

The competition will be held at the RAC in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will consist of three games for each team over three days, May 16-18.

How are these teams doing so far? Let's take a look:

 

HS Clubs
Aspetuck Valley (CT). Beat Staples, 3-0 overall.
Back Bay (CA). Shut out OMBAC Wallabies. 2nd straight shutout.
Charlotte Tigers (NC). Beat Phoenix Alpharetta
Danville Oaks (CA). Lost another close one, 24-22 to Jesuit. 0-3 in league, but all have been very close losses.
Eastside Lions (WA). Beat Chuckanut 66-7 and remain unbeaten in Washington.
Granite Bay (CA). Tied SFGG, now 2-0-1 in league play. Beat Lamorinda and Danville in two close games.
Kansas City Junior Blues (MO)
Lamorinda (CA). Beat Marin but perhaps a bit closer than expected. 2-1 in NorCal Premier.
Raleigh Redhawks (NC). Beat Union County Lions. 
Royal Irish (IN). Won two at the preseason tourney at U. Kentucky. Beat Notre Dame de la Salette in impressive fashion this past weekend. 
San Diego Mustangs (CA). Beat South Bay; now 3-0 in SoCal
United (UT). Idle
 
Single-School Teams
East HS (UT). Lost a tight one to Herriman.
Gonzaga College HS (DC). On tour. Started strong with wins over St. Ignatius and Xavier HS. Xavier game was 21-20.
Greenwich HS (CT). Beat Fairfield Prep 49-15.
Herriman HS (UT). Beat East HS and sit undefeated so far in Utah.
Jesuit HS (CA). Beat Danville in first league game. 
Kahuku HS (HI). Wins all over. Two this week over Hawaii opposition.
Penn HS (IN). Convincing win over St. Edward.
Snow Canyon HS (UT). Played Highland (result pending) 
Rocky Mt. HS (ID). Rocky Mountain fields two teams in Rugby Idaho, and its black team won 82-5 over Mountain View.  
St. Thomas Aquinas HS (KS). Two wins against local opposition.
Wando HS (SC). Beat Spring Hill in SC league play.
Xavier HS (NY). Big win over a well-regarded Play Rugby team.
