Boys HS Nationals Confirmed For Salt Lake City

The Boys High School National Championship Committee is pleased to name Salt Lake City, Utah as the host site for the 2019 Nationals on May 16,17 & 18.

The event will again feature the 24 top boys high school rugby teams from across the country.  The three-day competition will be held at the Regional Athletic Complex – just minutes from the SLC airport and downtown.  The format will again separate teams into 3 competitive 8-team brackets (Single School, Multiple School Club, and Tier II).  Every team will play a full game each day.

When asked about the site, committee member Bart Bottorff said,  "We are incredibly pleased to partner with Salt Lake City, Utah Youth Rugby and the RAC.  Utah remains a hotbed for top high school rugby and they have always sent great teams to the past championships. The RAC is a newly developed grass complex that offers lots of space for warm ups, teams, fans and game fields that are perfect for championship play.  I have no doubt that Salt Lake City will offer a great experience on and off the fields for the teams."

Interested teams may learn more and apply for selection to the event by visiting.  https://boyshighschoolrugbynationals.weebly.com/

Applications will officially be posted again January 1.  Teams will be made aware of selection in mid-February.

“This event only continues to grow each year in regards to competition level and facilities.  We expect 2019 will be our best yet,” added Bottorff.
