Big 10 Finals Day Almost Set

The Big Ten regular season is almost done, and we're just about confirmed how the Finals Weekend games will go.

Wisconsin beat Purdue 49-14 to at least put the Badgers in position to play for 3rd in the conference. Fullback Christian Overman scored three tries and No. 8 Jack Russell logged two in a much-needed bonus-point win for the Badgers. Now all they have to do is wait for Wednesday's Michigan State vs Michigan game.

If Michigan State wins that game, then MSU will play in the 3rd-4th game.

Four tries from No. 8 Russell Lemaster led Indiana to a 68-5 win over Michigan. Prop Andy Guhl scored two as Indiana went to 6-0.

Ohio State beat Michigan 73-5. Conor Forrestal logged nine conversions for 18 points; wing Vince Carso scored three tries and flanker Ben Richards added two. OSU and Indiana will play each other for the conference championship.

Minnesota and Purdue are set for the 7th/8th game. Michigan will play in the 5th/6th game, while Illinois has the tiebreaker over Wisconsin, and is confirmed for the 3rd-4th game. The only issue is whether Michigan State beats Michigan. If the Spartans win, then it's MSU vs Illinois for 3rd/4th; and Michigan vs Wisconsin for 5th/6th. If Michigan wins, then Michigan and Michigan State meet each other again for 5th/6th and Wisconsin plays Illinois for 3rd.
