British Columbia will play Atlantis in the final of the Boys Elite 7s at the Las Vegas Invitational.

The game will be played in Sam Boyd stadium at 1pm.

BC beat Upright Rugby Rogues 39-0 in the quarters, while Atlantis edged Eagle Impact Rugby Academy 17-14. The Atavus All-Stars defeated the HS All Americans 19-14 in the second shocking loss for the national team. And the upstart but experienced Maryland Exiles defeated Rhino Rugby Academy out of California 26-19, with Jacob Estes scoring in overtime.

So that set up the semis, where Atlantis defeated Atavus 27-12, while BC edged Maryland 17-14. Maryland had the ball on BC's five-meter in the final minute but couldn't score.

Maryland played the semi without speedster Dmontae Noble, who was injured in the quarters. lost our stud (noble)in first minute of quarterfinal. In the 3rd/4th game Maryland defeated Atavus.

This has been a superb effort by the American-based select sides. The Maryland Exiles is basically a group of kids from the Mid-Atlantic states, but they are experienced, as most of them started playing at a young age, many of them together. The 12 Maryland players have 90 years of rugby experience among them. Nine of the 12 are sons of rugby players, and half of them started with the Maryland Exiles youth program, and the Exiles won both the CRC club bracket and the Surfside 7s.
