The University of Arizona has named its freshman class for the fall of 2015.

The list of 30 players includes Goff Rugby Report HS Player of the Year Steven Branham, Brian Hannon from the National HS club champion Royal Irish team, and Westlake No. 8 Bobby Butchofsky.

In the forwards, Branham out of Fallbrook in Southern California looks to come in as a hooker. and another Fallbrook product, prop Matthew May, joins him up front. Also from SoCal is Cathedral Catholic/San Diego Mustangs prop Kurt Vecchio. Drew Tonda out of Granite Bay and Conor Ryan out of Gonzaga also join Arizona.

No. 8 Butchofsky is powerful runner and was a big part of Westlake winning the Texas state title. joining him in the back row is HS All American Ian Crilly (Fallbrook), and Japan U18 nominee Tyler Hansen (Tamagawa Academy). 

In the backline, flyhalf Brian Hannon joins the Wildcats after three national championships with Royal Irish. Hannon also competed in the 2014 Youth Olympics in China with fellow Indiana product and current Wildcat Tyler Sousley, and was named by Goff Rugby Report as the Best Overall Back of the 2015 season. The 2015 class also brings with it scrumhalf Matt Rogers, younger brother of current Wildcat Kyle and one of three Granite Bay Grizzlies joining the side this Fall. 

Several other talented backs include center Joe Deterding and wing Lou MacLaughlin from Jesuit of Sacramento, and wing Jeremy Fleet and fullback Adam Wilson from the San Diego Mustangs. Jack San Pietro (Xavier HS) and Casey Smith (Penn HS) are talented fullbacks.
